RESOLUTION 12-9-19

BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS:

THAT, the following days shall be paid holidays for city employees during the 2020 calendar year and the Oswego City Office shall be closed on these days:

New Year's Day                        Wednesday, January 1, 2020
Martin Luther King Day             Monday, January 20, 2020
Memorial Day                           Monday, May 25, 2020
Independence Day                   Friday, July 3, 2020
Labor Day                                 Monday, September 7, 2020
Veteran’s Day                           Wednesday, November 11, 2020
Thanksgiving Day                     Thursday, November 26, 2020
    and the day after                   Friday, November 27, 2020
Christmas Eve                          Thursday, December 24, 2020
    and Christmas Day               Friday, December 25, 2020

HOW HOLIDAYS AFFECT TRASH SERVICE
When a holiday falls on a regular trash day which is Monday or Tuesday then that day’s trash service
will be the following Wednesday. For instance the holiday falls on Monday. There will be NO interruption
in Tuesdays trash service and Mondays trash is picked up on Wednesday. On a holiday week since Wednesday
is being used as a regular trash service day then there are no leaf, brush or special bulk item pickups that day.
