201610newsletter Don’t forget about the Oswego Rec Commission’s Trunk-Or-Treat held on October 31st at 6:30pm. This will be for children birth through 5th grade. Business-es and the public are invited to participate in decorating their cars, trucks, wagons, and SUV’s and bring candy to pass out. Please no homemade candy. Par-ticipants need to be lined up for the event at 6:00pm. Last year there was over 300 kids that par-ticipated!! The walk will start in front of Dr. Mallatt’s Office. The Oswego Library is having the haunted library again this year! The kids are welcome to go through the library before Trunk-Or-Treat starts or afterwards. If you have any questions please call Cindy White with the Rec Commission at 620-778-1471. Don’t miss out on the fun!!

201608newletter October 8th City Wide

The Chamber of Commerce has set October 8th as the date for the Annual Fall City wide garage sale. The fee for a garage sale permit is $11.00. This includes your license, 2 garage sale signs, and a 25 word ad which will be listed on the map that is distributed among area businesses. The fee and ad must be submitted to the City Office no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, September 30th. The ad should contain your address and whether your sale will be held "rain or shine". Maps will be handed out on Thursday even-ing, October 6th at the grocery store, conven-ience stores and other local businesses. All garage sale participants must agree to NO pre-vious sales and all items listed must be available on the day of the sale. You can pay your fees and pick up your license at the City Office at 703 Fifth Street.

The 2nd annual Pool Party was another big hit!! We had over 200 in attendance! Friends of the Library and Oswego Fire Department ap-preciated everyone that came out and supported them with their donations! Thank you again to the Rec Commission and Oswego Chamber for the DJ. Also to the local business-es that donated for the prizes and the meal. That makes this event even more outstanding!

May 2016 Newsletter

2016-05newletter Two Farmer’s Market- Thursdays and Saturdays!

Great News! You now have the opportunity to shop local at the Farmer’s Market on 2 separate days! The original Farmer’s Market will again be held Thursday’s beginning May 26th.
Janelle Goins will be the coordinator for this market. She may be contacted at 620-795-4235 for booth information. Hours will be 3pm-6pm. A different Farmer’s Market will be held on Saturdays from 9am-1pm.

Saturday’s market will be opening May 28th. Regina Curnutte will be the booth co-ordinator for the Saturday market. She may contacted at 620-429-0670 for booth information.
