ORDINANCE NO. 1324
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE MANUFACTURED HOME AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLE CODE OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS, MARCH 2014 EDITION, PREPARED BY THE OSWEGO PLANNING COMMISSION AND AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS, BY ADDING ARTICLE 8 OF CHAPTER 4 THERETO.
WHEREAS,the Oswego Planning Commission has determined that rules and regulations pertaining to the development of Recreational Vehicle Campgrounds; Manufactured Home Parks and the placement of individual manufactured homes within the corporate limits of the City of Oswego, Kansas, would best be addressed separate from any land use regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the Oswego Planning Commission has prepared in book form the proposed Manufactured Home and Recreational Vehicle Code for the City of Oswego, Kansas; and,
WHEREAS,the Oswego Planning Commission has reviewed and is recommending said Manufactured Home and Recreational Vehicle Code, March 2014 Edition, for the City of Oswego, Kansas, be adopted; and,
WHEREAS,pursuant to K.S.A. 12-3009, the City of Oswego is authorized to incorporate a standard or model code or ordinance in booklet or pamphlet form by reference, which provisions shall be as much part of the ordinance as if the same had been set out in full in this ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. New Section 4-801 of the Code of the City of Oswego, Kansas, shall read as follows: “The Manufactured Home and Recreational Vehicle Code of the City of Oswego, Kansas, March 2014 Edition, prepared by the Oswego Planning Commission, is by reference incorporated in and by this publication made part of this chapter and article as fully as though set out at length herein and is adopted as the Manufactured Home and Recreational Vehicle Code for the City of Oswego, Kansas.”
SECTION 2. New Section 4-802 of the Code of the City of Oswego, Kansas, shall read as follows: “No fewer than three (3) copies of the Manufactured Home and Recreational Vehicle Code marked “Official Copy as Incorporated by Ordinance No. 1324 of the City of Oswego” and to which shall be attached a published copy of this ordinance, shall be filed with the City Clerk to be open for inspection and available to the public at all reasonable business hours.”
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be included in the Code of the City of Oswego, Kansas, and shall be in full force and effect from and after it publication once in the official city newspaper.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE GOVERNING BODY of the City of Oswego, Kansas, this 11th day of August, 2014.
