INVITATION FOR BIDS
Commercial Demolition

The City of Oswego, Kansas is now soliciting bids for the demolition of the property located at

319 Commercial          321 Commercial (Photos)          705 4^th Street  (Photos)    

Sealed bids for this work will be received until 10:00 A.M., on the 5th day of March, 2015, at the office of the City Clerk, 703 5th Street, PO Box 210, Oswego, Kansas, 67356.

The demolition work will include the complete removal of the structures and complete debris removal from the premises.  More information is provided in the bidding package.

Proof of Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance shall be furnished with the bid. Liability insurance shall require a minimum of $1,000,000.

The required bidding package may be obtained at City Hall, 703 5^th St., Oswego, KS or by contacting Susan Galemore, Grant Administrator, SEKRPC, 620-431-0080.

Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids in order to allow time for reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.

The City of Oswego reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.

Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3 of the 1968 Housing Act, Segregated Facility, Section 109 of the 1984 Housing and Community Development Act and Executive Order 11246, Housing and Community Development Act of 1964 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Minority and Women Contractors are encouraged to submit bids.
