On May 1, 2024 the City of Oswego, Kansas, adopted Ordinance No. 1499 amending Ordinance 1289 regarding the airport board composition by reducing to five members and terms for these members. ORDINANCE NO. 1499

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, ARTICLE 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, RELATING TO PUBLIC PROPERTY, MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BOARD.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Chapter 12, Article 2, Section 12-202 and 12-203 of the City Code is hereby amended to read:

12-202  SAME; COMPOSITION.  The Airport Board shall consist of five members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council. Three members must be residents of the city, and the remaining members must reside within Labette County or Cherokee Counties.

12-203  SAME; TERMS.  Two of the members shall have terms expiring April 30, 2025; the remaining three members shall have initial terms expiring April 30, 2026.  Thereafter each member shall serve a term of two years.

SECTION 2.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.
