                                                                                                                                ORDINANCE NO. 1534

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING FOR A BED & BREAKFAST TYPE FACILITY ON RESIDENTIAL LOT AT 504 6th ST., OSWEGO, LABETTE COUNTY, KANSAS.

WHEREAS, application has been made by Peggy Strickland, owner, requesting a conditional use permit to allow for a bed & breakfast type facility on residential zoned lot at 504 6th St., Oswego, Kansas; and,

WHEREAS, the Oswego Planning Commission of Oswego, Kansas conducted a public hearing on Case No. CUP-2026-01, following published notification in accordance with K.S.A. 12-741, et. seq., as amended, on April 23, 2026; and

WHEREAS, the Oswego Planning Commission based on information presented and discussed at the hearing, has recommended that the Governing Body of the City of Oswego, Kansas, approve the Conditional Use Permit to allow for a bed & breakfast type facility on residential lot at 504 6th St, Oswego, Kansas, be approved;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS, THAT:

Section 1.  A Conditional Use Permit allowing for a bed & breakfast type facility on residential lot at 504 6th St. is approved.

Section 2.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.

PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 8^th day of June, 2026.
