Eddington Retires after 36 years
Carol Eddington retired from the city after 36 years. She has been the City Clerk since January 2014. A small retirement reception was held January 29th.
City Clerk & Deputy City Clerk
Jennifer Hine was sworn in as City Clerk on January 29th. Jennifer has been with the City for the last 7 years and had been the Deputy City Clerk since July 2019. As Jennifer stepped into her new position, Morgan Maxton was hired as Deputy City Clerk.
December 2020 Newsletter
Calvin Jurgensen and Justin Strickland were recognized at the December Council meeting for years of service. Calvin has been with the Public Works Department for 20 years, seven of those years serving as City Superintendent. Justin has been on the Volunteer Fire Department for the past 10 years. Read more

Light up the park
The Oswegofest Committee is hosting Lights in the Park again this year! If someone is interested in sponsoring a tree in Riverside Park, please email Linseh Johnson at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or text at 620-423-1411. Trees can be started decorating November 1st and must be decorated by November 27th at noon. The Park will light up on November 27th at 6:30pm! The Girl Scouts will be serving hot chocolate at Shelter House #1 (by the pool) from 6:30pm-8:00pm. With all of the lights, the park is transformed into something magical!

Oswego’s Annual Fly-in
Come join in the fun at the annual fly-in at the Bob Carpenter Field, 11570 Wyandotte Rd, Columbus, KS 66725. (3 miles East of Oswego) on Saturday, Octo-ber 3rd at 8:00am! This is a Free Event and will be fun for ALL ages! The Lion’s Club serving breakfast and lunch with donations being accepted. There will be barrel train rides for the kids. There will be no plane rides this year. T-shirts will be available to pur-chase for $12.00. You can keep up on events at the airport by liking their Facebook page Oswego Munic-ipal Airport!
