Memorial Legacy Program
The Oswego Tree Board has been planning to improve the memorial tree program, now being referred to as the “Memorial Legacy Program.” A structure has been built that would allow name plaques to be displayed in a designated location and in a way to protect them from damage due to weather, vandalism, or even theft. Existing plaques made of aluminum are being moved to the display. This will allow family members a convenient way to locate the memorial plaque of their loved ones. Donations for the Memorial Legacy Program remain the same at $150.00. This covers the cost of planting and maintaining trees or shrubs of various sizes and species throughout the park as well as other public areas in the community, allowing for better management of the diversity, beauty and ecological structure of these areas. The cost to upgrade an existing plastic plaque to aluminum is $45.00
