The Pool is OPEN!! Come make a Splash!
Summer has just begun and the temper-atures are rising so come cool off at the City Pool. The pool’s hours are 1:00pm to 6:30pm.
Admission is only $1.00 per person! You may also rent the pool for a pool party. For more information you may call the Pool at 620-795-4913. If no one answers there is a answering machine just leave your name and phone number and they will get back with you.

Annual City Wide Garage Sale Postponed
The Annual City Wide Spring Garage sale was scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 2nd. The Chamber made the decision to postpone the event until a later date. Please watch on the Chamber’s and City’s Facebook pages, Labette Avenue and the city’s website for updated information.

Chief Strickland Retires From Fire Department and Jon Eck appointed as Chief
At the February Council meeting, John Strickland was recog-nized for retiring from the Fire Department. Strickland has served on the Fire Department for 31 years, 6 of those years serving as Fire Chief. Mayor Chapman appointed Jon Eck as Fire Chief. Eck has been on the department for 30 years. He has served as Assistant Chief since 2014.

2020 Dog and Cat Tags
Dog and Cat tags for 2020 are now available for purchase at the City Office. Your current 2019 tags will expire April 1, 2020. The cost is $2.00 if your pet is spayed or neutered and $5.00 if they are not. You must present a rabies vaccination certificate at the time of purchase in order to obtain a city tag. The Oswego Veterinary Clinic and Regional Veterinary
